Thanks for stopping by my page!

I have worked in higher education for the last 25 years, in a variety of capacities. For 13 years I was the Director of the largest honors program at a prestigious university in New York. I worked with students from their point of interest in the university through graduation, and beyond (I am still in contact with hundreds of my former students).

With acceptances to colleges and universities becoming ever-more competitive, I know what it takes for an applicant to stand out and become more attractive to the institutions to which they are applying. While there is no specific timeline for assistance, generally the earlier I can begin working with a high school student, the better. Frankly, by the time senior year rolls around, it’s too late to change things up to increase their odds of acceptance. I have worked with high school students as early as their freshman year to guide them on courses they should be taking, co-curricular activities they should be participating in, volunteer work/shadowing, and ways in which they can tailor their application essays to stand out among the pack.

Each student I work with is an individual, so there is no “one size fits all” approach. I work with my clients’ strengths and their academic and career goals to help facilitate a strong application which will make them more desirable applicants to the undergraduate programs they wish to apply to. I work with each student to go over the minimum requirements for acceptance to the colleges and universities they are interest in and provide honest and frank feedback as to what it will take to get them to where they want to go. It should be noted, however, that every college and university uses their own metrics and preferences for admission, so there is no guarantee of acceptance…even if a student meets the minimum requirements for entry. My priority is to work with each of my clients to ensure they have the greatest chance possible.

Working with students has always been my passion, and in my former role as Director I worked with some of the university’s strongest student leaders to help unlock potential they didn’t even realize they possessed. I encourage you to read some of the testimonials from former students of mine and reach out to me as soon as possible to begin working with your high school student.
